Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
From Monday 7th December, Ryde- Gladesville Parish is able to hold a maximum of 200 worshipers at St Charles Borromeo and 160 worshippers at Our Lady Queen of Peace. As capacity is limited only to the 2 square metre rule, any overflow will be seated outside.
From Monday 7th December 2020:
No capacity restrictions at Masses, funerals or weddings, subject to the 2 square metre rule
200 people at SCB & 160 people at OLQP will be permitted to attend services inside the church - any overflow will be seated outdoors
Mass bookings are essential for indoor attendance. Those without bookings when the church is at capacity will be seated outdoors and must sign in via QR code/manual registration.
All those visiting the church for Mass, other religious services or private prayer are strongly recommended to wear a face mask
Ryde-Gladesville has returned to its regular weekend Mass schedule - please see our Mass Times
The 9:20am weekday morning Masses, 9am Saturday Mass and 10am Sunday Mass at St Charles will be live streamed on our Parish YouTube channel
If attending physical Masses, attendees MUST sign in and out, continue to observe social distancing measures, and must be seated at least 5 mins before Mass starts - this means arriving 15 mins earlier to account for sign in and temperature checks.
Bookings are still required for weekend Masses. Weekday Masses however are available on a first come first served basis, and bookings are not required.
To book a spot at Weekend Mass, please go to our website www.rgcp.org.au, go to the Mass booking button and follow the prompts to make your booking. Bookings open on Monday at 7am and close on Fridays at 3pm each week.
No congregational singing is permitted at Masses, as per NSW Department of Health advice.
St Charles Church is open for private prayer and Adoration from 7am to 5pm, however only 200 people (including essential staff & volunteers) are permitted inside at any one time, and social distancing and hygiene measures still apply. The church will be monitored by staff and volunteers during visiting hours.
Our Lady Queen of Peace Church will only be open for Mass at 5pm on Saturday and 9am on Sunday, and is not open during the week for private prayer or daily Mass until further notice.
If you are visiting the Parish for any other reason, please continue to observe hygiene and social distancing measures. Please leave any deliveries, intentions or donations in the Parish foyer, and only enter the office if especially necessary.
We thank you for your patience and co-operation as we work towards all of us being back at Mass over the coming few months.
Apart from that, never forget how much Jesus loves you, despite everything that is happening, and how utterly pleasing you all are to him, persevering in your faith as you are. I, for one, am very proud of my Parish and her efforts to become a missionary outpost in this little neck of the Lord's Vineyard!
Ever your brother, in Christ's undaunted love,
Stay up to date!
